This skimmer skims from 360º with a flow rate of 3,120 to 3,300 gallons per hour. The float can move up and down to allow for water level changes. The strainer basket is inside the float, which moves up and down around it. It has a standard female 1 1/2" thread fitting. It comes in black or white at $49.50

We have found this skimmer to be very good for Koi ponds for several reasons.

It is not a "Koi Killer". It skims a "knife edge" of water, which prevents Koi from getting swept in. Standard skimmers have Weir doors that allow Koi to swim or get sucked in, but prevent them from getting back out. Finally the Koi get exhausted and die.

It has an adapter for connecting a vacuum hose directly to it so you can vacuum the bottom of your pond.
